Health & Safety Manager (Emerging Nutrition)


As Health & Safety Manager you are responsible for creating and supporting Health & Safety initiatives for all of operations. You will work to identify best practices and incorporate these methodologies into our standards to continuously improve the Health & Safety landscape. This role will have oversight for a set group of plants in leading coordinators to create consistency across our locations.

Job Responsibilities:
* Identify and cascade standards, processes, and best practices, providing guidance and oversight to operations leadership, internal team, and plant team members to ensure compliance with all applicable Health & Safety Policies, local/regional regulations, and company policies.
* Establish, develop, and communicate Health & Safety systems and metrics, and rationalize the allocation of appropriate resources to areas where the risk is highest.
* Support various Health & Safety projects across operations and technical centers of excellence, monitoring performance and resolution against large/complex open projects, risk mitigation efforts and audits.
* Develop and implement Health and Safety onboarding and training materials using operations development strategy.


Experience and Education:
* Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Ergonomics or a related field required or 5+ years of experience, in health and safety programs in an operations environment.
* 2-3 working in an Environmental Health and safety role
* 2+ years' experience leading people
* Experience leading change in a multi-site environment.
* Experience managing and influencing multiple stakeholder groups
* Thorough understanding of OSHA regulations.
* Ability to develop and implement department goals and strategies based on broader organizational goals.
* Experience in a fast-paced, changing/growing organization.
* Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations.


Good to Have:
* Certified Safety Professional
* Prior experience in facilitating training programs.
* Track record of effectively leading both salaried and hourly employees.
* Formal root cause analysis methodology training and understanding.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions (With or without reasonable accommodation):
* Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as is required by the operating areas
* Ability to work a machine paced continuous process that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with conditions which include:
o Heat/cold temperatures (inclement weather)
o Indoor/outdoor environment
o Dusty environment
o Noisy environment
o Frequent moving/vibration/ or other motion of equipment/processes
o Elevated places, to include stairs/ladders

* 40-50% travel
* This role is a hybrid role working primarily in a production facility

COMPETITIVE COMPENSATION:

We provide market-driven base pay, based on skills, abilities, and level of experiences. Our salary ranges are broad, and individual salary will be market competitive based on a candidate's unique set of skills and level of experience. The starting range for this position is $98,700.00 - $131,667.80, with additional earning potential possible commensurate with experience. Additionally, we believe that our team members are the reason for our success and all team members are incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and individual results achieved. While the specific bonus plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions, the targeted bonus plan and targeted percentage amount for this role is Bonus - MIP, 15% Annual: Individual Target.
