Qualifications
1.    Certified to teach elementary school in Wisconsin (WI).  WI teaching license required.
2.     Ability to work effectively with students individually or in small groups.
3.     Ability to learn and deliver interventions in the areas of math and/or reading.
4.     Ability to get along and communicate well with staff, students and parents/guardians.
5.     Strong collaboration skills:  work well with classroom teachers, literacy and math coaches, psychologist and administration.
6.     Ability to learn and deliver progress monitoring tools and review student achievement data to monitor progress and make instructional decisions for individual and small groups of students.
7.     Must exhibit excellent oral, written, and organizational skills including data record keeping.
8.     Must be flexible and able to work independently.
9.     Flexible mindset around working a schedule that meets student needs.
10.   Ability to keep students engaged in their learning and manage behaviors as necessary.
11.   Proficient computer skills which may include:  Microsoft Office Suite, navigating the internet and Google Docs.
12.   Willing to learn and improve instructional skills by attending applicable conference/workshops.
13.   Must demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines and follow procedures.
14.   Ability to maintain confidentiality.
15.   Dependable work record.
16.   Positive work attitude.
17.   Belief that all students can be successful.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

The most significant aspect of the Interventionist role will be providing small group interventions to students who have been identified as having a gap in their reading or math proficiency.  The Interventionist will work in approximately 50 minute increments, in approximately nine week intervals, with small groups of students.  The candidate will use data to communicate student progress in the intervention.  Other duties as assigned by the Administrator.
