This is a hybrid role requiring the successful applicant to work in the New York office 2-3 days per week.

In this position, you will support the lead consultants on some client assignments and/or act as the lead client consultant and own all project management levels to support the execution of Client Service Delivery. In this role, you will serve as the primary day to day contact of clients and oversight of client team & support. The Health Solutions Benefits Consultant will collaborate with the client Account Executive and Lead Consultant to assist with the execution of strategy and special projects. It includes analysis, drafting or coordinating reports and client presentations, participation in client meetings, and the identification of client needs for other services. Benefits work includes benefit audits, benchmarking, participating in M&A projects, compliance, assistance in financial projections of benefits costs, and monthly financial reports.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Champion client deliverables and day-to-day activities -responsible for the execution of client deliverables and serve as day-to-day client contact, executing on non-complex client deliverables with little Account Executive oversight
  • Develop a partnership with clients, vendors, and Aon Health Solutions team by establishing and maintaining solid relationships with plan sponsors, sustaining rapport at all levels, and coordinating customer service
  • Conduct and lead client meetings, monitor and execute deliverables based on project scope and statement of work
  • Financial analysis, including participation and peer-review in developing gross and net plan projections, creating employee contribution scenarios and monthly financial reports
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior colleagues (i.e., sets deadlines and manage team workflow; provide feedback, direction, and coaching)

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience along with a Life, Accident & Health License
  • Three plus years of experience in Health and Benefits and/or experience in an HR consulting firm or professional services firm.
  • Excellent organizational and communications skills (written and verbal)
  • Project management and strong analytical ability
  • Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of benefits and services offered and value to clients
  • Strong presentation skills

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $80,000.00 to $133,000.00 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of New York City. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
