Job Description

Position Overview:

Radyne Corporation is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) to join our dynamic team. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining electrical systems for our cutting-edge projects. Your expertise in the National Electric Code (NEC), wiring diagram design, electrical cabinet layout, and PLC controls programming will be essential.

Responsibilities:

  1. Wiring Diagram Design:
    • Create detailed wiring diagrams for complex electrical systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical components seamlessly.
  2. Electrical Cabinet Layout:
    • Design and optimize electrical cabinets for low noise and reliable operation.
    • Consider thermal management, cable routing, and component placement to enhance system performance.
  3. PLC Controls Design and Programming:
    • Design, select I/O, develop, test, and debug PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) based control systems.
    • Implement control logic, safety interlocks, and communication protocols.
  4. Compliance with NEC, NFPA:
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest revisions of the National Electric Code, and National Fire Protection Association.
    • Ensure all designs adhere to safety regulations and best practices.
  5. Collaboration and Documentation:
    • Work closely with project managers, mechanical engineers, and technicians.
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation, including schematics, bills of materials, and test reports.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
  • 1-5 years of relevant experience in electrical design and engineering
  • Proficiency in the National Electric Code (NEC)
  • Strong skills in wiring diagram creation and electrical cabinet layout
  • Hands-on experience with PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar)
  • Familiarity with low-noise design principles and EMI/RFI mitigation
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
