Understand and define market segmentation and product positioning.
Analyze and track market, technology, competitor and customer requirements and trends to determine competitive attributes and differentiated value propositions
Contribute to business strategy definition, translate that business strategy and market requirements into competitive portfolio requirements, Identify gaps, needs, opportunities, and risks in existing portfolio and strategies to address (feature enhancements, cost reductions, etc.)
Define new product plans; Prioritize new product development projects to achieve targets; sets technical, price, cost and expenditure targets
Identify opportunities to streamline the product offering to the vital few products required to address growth and profitability targets, Organize and lead product exits to ensure planned and orderly obsolescence of endoflife products and transition to alternatives in line with life cycle management (LCM) process
Interface between customer and customer facing and internal functions (Sales, Operations, and Research & Development), forecast volume trends on a regular basis to ensure Operations' capability for customer fulfillment. Set targets and monitor product/system costs to provide inputs to Operations' functions (Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Production) to maximize competitiveness and profitability
Partner with Product Marketing to initiate and drive communication strategy, including product launches and promotional activities.
Provide subject matter expertise to Product Owner, Product Marketing / Marketing & Sales
Ensure achievement of established targets through definition and oversight of improvement actions as needed. Focus on market share, achievement of revenues, margin and project ontime and oncost targets
Support two Develop and Care agile teams by providing strategic guidance and support/creation of customer facing material
