Job Description Summary

The CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) Administrator is responsible for the effective operation, maintenance, and optimization of the organization's CMMS software. This role involves overseeing the system's implementation, configuration, data management, and user support to ensure seamless functionality and maximum utilization across departments.

The CMMS Administrator plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of assets, facilities, and equipment through effective utilization of the CMMS software. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, analytical skills, and collaborative teamwork to support organizational goals and objectives.

Job Description

Essential functions and responsibilities

CMMS System Management:

  • Administer and maintain the CMMS software, ensuring its availability, reliability, and security.
  • Customize and configure the CMMS to align with organizational needs, workflows, and best practices.
  • Implement upgrades, patches, and enhancements to improve system performance and functionality.

Data Management:

  • Manage the integrity and accuracy of CMMS data, including equipment records, maintenance schedules, work orders, and inventory.
  • Develop and implement data standards, procedures, and protocols for data entry, validation, and maintenance.
  • Conduct regular audits and quality checks to identify and rectify discrepancies or errors in CMMS data.

User Support and Training:

  • Provide technical support and assistance to CMMS users, troubleshooting issues, and resolving system-related problems.
  • Develop and deliver training programs and materials to educate users on CMMS functionality, features, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback, address user needs, and optimize system usability and adoption.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Generate and distribute reports, dashboards, and analytics from CMMS data to support decision-making, performance evaluation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for operational efficiency, cost reduction, and asset optimization.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Recommend and implement process improvements, system enhancements, and automation solutions to optimize CMMS functionality and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and enhance productivity

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field - recommended but not required.
  • Proven experience (2 years) in CMMS administration, implementation, and support, preferably in a manufacturing, facilities management, or similar industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of CMMS software and their modules, functionalities, and integration capabilities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
  • Certification in CMMS administration (e.g., CMRP, CRL) is a plus, but not required
