Job Description

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Service Line Administration Director supports and contributes to leading efforts across AAMG practice sites and AAH hospitals to influence, standardize, and optimize clinical and non-clinical practices ensuring high-quality, coordinated patient care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and practice site integration.
  • Grow AAH's overall specific service line in-network care.
  • Improve access and increase patient volumes.
  • Reduce the trend in total cost of care.
  • Improve preference for specialty programs among consumers.
  • Influence patient and physician/APC engagement.
  • Quality and safety across the service line.
  • Serves as project sponsor and/or project manager on high priority projects.
  • Provides service line specific expertise and administrative direction to ensure unified and coordinated delivery of patient care services.
  • Performs human resources responsibilities for staff which include interviewing and selection of new employees, promotions, staff development, performance evaluations, compensation changes, resolution of employee concerns, corrective actions, terminations, and overall employee morale.
  • Develops and recommends operating and capital budgets and controls expenditures within approved budget objectives.
  • Responsible for understanding and adhering to the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct and for ensuring that personal actions, and the actions of employees supervised, comply with the policies, regulations, and laws applicable to the organization's business.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

License/Registration/Certification Required: None Required.

Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare or related field.

Experience Required: Typically requires 7 years of progressive management experience hospital or practice operations or service line role.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Specialty-specific experience in areas of responsibility through either clinical training, hospital or practice operations, or other experience.
  • Competent knowledge of service lines from a business development, strategic, analytic, operating framework.
  • Project management skills (i.e. problem solving, organizing committees/work groups, facilitating meetings, project planning, managing to a project plan)
  • Basic computer knowledge. Epic knowledge base or ability to learn required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Modest travel and occasional evening and early morning commitments.
  • Requires periodic presence in practice sites and hospitals to build relationships
  • Be available for development needs and attend to ad hoc and unplanned needs of the team.
  • Exposed to normal office environment.
  • Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
