Receiving Coordinator - York, PA

At Apex Tool Group's York, PA facility, we manufacture the Campbell Chain brand of chain, fittings, and accessories. Campbell Chain has been in York for over 100 years producing commercial and industrial chain for the oil and gas, fishing, construction, and transportation industries.

The Build (Responsibilities)

  • Receive, store, record, and deliver incoming materials to proper location.
  • Operate lift truck to move/stack material in and between departments throughout the plant.
  • Unload materials from delivering carrier, check against packing slips, and verify count, description, and general condition of incoming materials.
  • Identify material as on hold pending receiving inspection and store material or ensure it is delivered to proper location.
  • Notify purchasing and/or receiving inspection of incoming materials as required.
  • Maintain receiving records.
  • Weigh, pack, and prepare for shipment items being returned.
  • Coordinate with appropriate personnel routing of incoming raw/unfinished materials and secure proper shipping documents.
  • Coordinate completion of routing for outside processing and secure proper shipping documents.
  • Segregate and dispose of scrap, chip hoppers, and trash waste as required.
  • Serve as back-up for receiving inspection, Materials Coordinator, and material handling as needed.
  • Complete timely and accurate reporting including receiving, quality, inventory, scrap, and other recordkeeping.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures to produce quality product/service including reporting non-conforming materials and scrap.
  • Report unusual conditions or questionable items to a supervisor.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
  • Keep work area clean and orderly; perform daily 5S assignments.
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

The Toolbox (Qualifications)

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1-year related work experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Access, Word, and Outlook required; experience with SAP preferred.
  • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Previous forklift experience.
  • Able to work overtime (more than 40 hours per week including Saturdays) as required.
  • Stand, walk, and sit for up to 8 hours.
  • Climb stairs and ladders.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
