Department Overview:

As the top of mind, reliable resources to the neuromuscular disease community, the Healthcare Services department plays a critical role in providing support, opportunities, and resources to promote access to care and empower each individual. The Healthcare Services department is comprised of the Care Center Network, Family & Clinical Support, Medical Education, Operations, and Resource Center teams.

Position Description:

The Specialist, Mission Operations is charged with of supporting the needs of the organizational unit. The Specialist, Mission Operations is responsible for managing the day-to-day tasks that keep the organizational unit running smoothly. This role performs a variety of business-related tasks, which vary based on needs including but not limited to planning and coordinating one or more programs and invoice processing as well as support community outreach & programs that support the community and client base. The Specialist, Mission Operations will report directly to the Director, Mission Operations.

What you'll do:

  • Collaborate across Mission business units and internal stakeholders to develop a clearly defined process plan to leverage MDA's mission, programs, and services to meet or exceed established goals.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of all Mission Team(s) invoice processing and tracking for the team(s) as well as setting up necessary platform tools (ie. campaigns, email to Case functions, etc.) between business units and providing ongoing support in maintaining records on all MDA platforms including: ProposalCentral, Salesforce, Financial Force, and UltraCamp, etc.
  • Responsible for maintaining all onboarding/offboard mission teams staff training documentation, internal staff communications via Microsoft Teams, as well as take lead all team culture initiatives.
  • Support Misson team meetings and presentations, in addition to providing logistical support day of, including assistance in coordinating presentation materials, agenda's, meeting minutes, etc.
  • Provide administrative support of key programs and activities.
  • Assist with project management of key program initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Salary Range:

This position's salary range is $50,000 - $53,000. Multiple factors, including your experience, determine final offer amounts and levels and may vary from the amounts listed above.

Location:

Remote work with up to 10% of travel.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3-5 years' experience providing support to teams in any setting, preferably in a virtual/remote environment.
  • Detail oriented and able to plan and execute portions of projects independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously, continuously keeping the mission as the focus.
  • High degree of flexibility, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Must possess data communication and reporting, customer service, and project management skills.
  • PCM, Microsoft Office Suite, grant management tools, and/or financial processing tools and/or platform knowledge preferred.
  • Must possess strong communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with staff, clients, and organization members to ensure MDA serves its client and community with excellence.
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Microsoft Teams.
  • Strong working knowledge and understanding of Salesforce required.
  • High level of discretion and demonstrated ability to appropriately handle confidential information.
  • Ability to travel. Overnight travel may be required.
