PURPOSE:
The Food & Beverage Attendant is responsible for the basic day-to-day food & beverage service duties, such as stocking F&B supply areas, serving, cleaning, making coffee, and preparing meals and beverages.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Ensure proper cleaning, stocking, and maintains catering equipment, coffee break areas and dining areas Make coffee drinks for employees using the espresso machine Assist with serving food as needed Accurately answer customers questions and provide information on food & beverage procedures when needed Running food, making coffee, restocking food & beverage items as needed Ensures guests receive friendly, courteous service at all times Follows safety and sanitation policy and procedures at all times Cleaning and clearing tables as they are vacated, Keep FOH area clean, well- organized and presentable Set up break rooms with food and required amenities; maintain adequate levels of products throughout the day as trained Reports damage, hazards, or defective equipment to supervisor Responsible for sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and wiping down tables, chairs, countertops, machines, and display pieces used in cafe & break areas Available for occasional night or weekend special events

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

The Food & Beverage Attendant is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction, resolving customer complaints, and addressing any questions or comments that customers may have regarding food and beverages available in the cafe. You will have a thorough knowledge of policies and procedures related to food preparation. The Food & Beverage Attendant will work diligently to keep the cafe and commissary clean, safe, and accessible to the customers.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. * Carries, lifts, pulls, and pushes up to fifty (35) pounds

* Works in a fast-paced environment

* Works a flexible schedule

* Possesses a Food Handlers' Certification as required

* Stands and walks for long period

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or equivalent

Strong verbal and written skills

Maintain up to date Wisconsin Food Handlers License

Food, catering, or customer service experience a plus

PERSONAL SKILLS and ATTRIBUTES:

This team member is proactive and professional with a desire to help and support all kitchen staff members. Individual must be a team player,organized, adaptable to shifting priorities, and flexible to training.

Must have a genuine interest in hospitality and service and be able to display initiative, respect and able to handle pressure in a busy work environment.


LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and write English and converse with others in a professional and courteous manner


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to use basic math skills, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division


REASONING ABILITY
It is necessary to have the ability to solve practical problems that may arise. Our Team Members must have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; sit; and use hands to handle or feel as well as reach with hands and arms; climb or balance, stoop &, kneel. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus. This position will require walking and standing for most of the day.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This work is performed in a typical cafe and kitchen setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The work environment includes working in wet, hot & cold environments.
