Position Description
Apply engineering principles to analyze the feasibility, design, operation and performance of equipment, components and systems for the necessity of aircraft modification.
Coordinate with FAA representatives for major repairs, alterations and STC approvals.
Travel to support technical reviews and program review meetings.
Travel to support aircraft modification activities.
Coordinate with outside consultants in the creation of required ground test plans, flight test plans and FAA STC certification plans.
Work within a coordinated team of engineers to develop internal company engineering practices, processess and requirements.
Communicate all designs and installation instructions to aircraft technicians on hanger floor.
Develop aircraft wiring interface schematics for a variety of avionics systems.
Perform aircraft Electrical Loads Analysis and develop reports in support of program activity.
Document all aircraft modifications. (Overviews, descriptions, BOMs, structural drawings, schematics, procedures.)
Skill Requirements:
Bachelor of Science: Electrical Engineering or Aeorspace Engineering
3 Years related Avionics Integration experience
Engineering process development skills
Aircraft Modification Certification (STC)
Working knowledge of OrCAD, AutoCAD, Solidworks, CADKEY, or Catia design software
