OVERVIEW:

Serves the public and promotes good customer relations in managing both upper and lower parking lots of the branch. In addition, performs routine cleanliness of parking lots to ensure safety and service of Chelsea customers in conformance with established Bank policies and procedures.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs any functions necessary, within scope of authority and expertise, to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to customers.

1. Responsible for positively greeting Chelsea Groton Bank and Chelsea Groton Financial Services customers as they enter the upper and lower parking lots of the Mystic Branch.

2. Attendant will direct customers to open spots and politely direct non-bank customers to alternative lots in the downtown Mystic area during normal banking hours.

3. The attendant is expected to proactively monitor both lots throughout the day to insure that parking spaces are occupied by bank customers. Non-customer disputes will be handled by management of the Mystic branch and/or Chelsea Groton Financial Services; the attendant is expected to bring these to their attention immediately. Branch management and/or Chelsea Groton Financial Services will determine if the violator's vehicle is to be towed.

4. The Attendant will clean up trash within the parking lots, as necessary.

5. Promotes the Bank's products and services and maintains an active participation in community affairs.

6. Responsible for adhering to bank policies and procedures related to regulatory compliance requirements applicable to the job function.

7. Performs related and unrelated duties as may be required.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

High School diploma or equivalent. Three to six months of successful or similar level of customer contact experience. Good customer service, communication, and problem solving skills. Able to use various types of office equipment, including computer. Must be 18 years of age or older.

Attendant will be expected to wear (to be provided) a Chelsea Groton branded hat and shirt.

This position is seasonal and is required the first business day after Memorial Day weekend until the Saturday after Labor Day weekend.

The schedule includes:

Monday 9 am - 4 pm

Thursday 9 am - 4 pm

Friday 9 am - 5 pm

Saturday 9 am - Noon

*1/2 hour lunch Monday/Thursday/Friday only (total of 23.5 hours per week)

None

INDEPENDENT ACTION:

Performs work within established guidelines and according to specific procedures. Refers problems to immediate supervisor.

COMPLIANCE:

Responsible for adhering to bank policies and procedures relating to regulatory compliance requirements applicable to the job function including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering and Fair Lending.
