POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the shift covering all production departments. Exhibits good environmental practices and procedures consistent with job(s) performed and EMS (Environmental Management System) requirements.
NATURE & SCOPE OF POSITION
Strict adherence and commitment to carrying out the Corporate and/or local policies, rules, and regulations in these areas is required. An employee in this position must focus on customers' expectations and strive for continuous improvement resulting in improved results for themselves, customers, and other employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Time on Production Floor-knows processes and equipment.Monitors performance and achieves objectives related to safety, quality,environmental efficacy, timeliness and cost effectiveness of work withinthe shift(s).
  • Provide leadership, direction, and scheduling to members of shift. Ensure employees meet standards for production and safety.
  • Identify opportunities for training and development of employees.
  • Drive continuous improvement and document change.
  • Manage and utilize all available resources to achieve production andproductivity goals.
  • Understand and consistently enforces company policies andpractices.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Minimum high school diploma or GED 2 yr. technical degree or equivalent plus 3-5 yrs. Experience in manufacturing supervision. Good work ethic with emphasis on safety and quality. Proficient with measuring equipment.
Understand SOP's relating to department activities. Strong analytical, problem solving, project management, and organizational skills. Knowledge of products, equipment, and processes. Proficient in use of computers and spreadsheet software with experience with business systems (QAD, Microsoft Office). Strong leadership skills, being a strategic thinker and having a strong focus on profitability. Excellent interactive skills. Must be a team developer capable of fostering a positive team environment. Effective communications skills are essential-both written and verbal.
